FundShare Fund Management

FundShare Fund Management B.V. (FFM) is a fund manager, founded in 2006, active in the management of funds under both the UCITS and AIFMD regimes. Since its inception, expertise has been gained in regular fund management, asset management, management of (qualified) money market funds and (algorithmic) trading activities. This has led to an efficient and transparent cost structure, where the customer's interests come first and foremost. FundShare Fund Management offers a varied selection of investment funds, fund structure and money market fund solutions to professional financial service providers, whereby automation, risk management, compliance, transparency and low costs are paramount.



CEO – Adam Rose

After getting his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Cornell University in New York he began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs & Co in New York City. During this period he earned his Masters in Business Administration with a major in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. His specialization in this period was the structuring, analysis and trading of all forms of asset backed instruments. Subsequently Adam moved to Europe and worked for several European banks including Bayerische Vereinsbank, now Uni Credit Bank, ING Barings Bank and Commerzbank. At this point Adam made a career switch to asset management and worked 3 years at Blue Sky Group which is the asset manager of pension funds of KLM Airlines. There he was responsible for Fixed Income, Derivatives and Treasury Management. Adam went back to investment back after this point and spent 13 years at ABN AMRO Bank in various sales positions ending his career there as Global Head of Sale for the Global Markets group. From ABN AMRO Adam went on to become a member of the managing board of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange (Euronext) and after 4 years joined FundShare Fund Management as CEO.

CIO – Jan-Jaap Surie

After completing his MSc in Economics: Financial Markets at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), Jan-Jaap Surie started his career in 2002 with AOT / Binck Securities in the arbitrage department. Subsequently he started with 2 partners for himself at Market Wizards, where the focus was on arbitrage strategies and fundamental analysis. In 2013 he was asked by FFM as head of the new arbitration department. From that position, he has grown through market making manager, head of the trading department and head of portfolio management to his current position, CIO. His years of experience and various functions have ensured that he has a broad knowledge of all financial markets and products. His specialties: arbitrage, European equities and fundamental analysis.

Head of Fund Administration – Christoph Altmeyer

After finishing his BSc in International Economic Studies and his MSc in International Business: Finance from Maastricht University SBE (NL) and Charles University Prague (CZ), since 2014 Christoph worked at Optiver, DEGIRO and Flow Traders in Amsterdam. In these positions his focus was on the organization and automation of routine administrative tasks while also introducing improved ways for the settlement of OTC trades, position reconciliation as well as the utilization of exchange connections for market-making Delta one products. In April 2020 Christoph joined FFM to lead the Fund Administration Department which was founded after the separation from DEGIRO. In this position he is responsible for the precise and timely calculation of funds’ NAVs, orderly reporting to the DNB and AFM and the administration of inhouse IT systems.

Head of Operations & Control – Thorsten Schulz

After studying at the universities in Wuppertal/Germany and Gurgaon/India, and graduating with a MSc in Banking and Corporate Finance, Thorsten gathered working experience in positions with Commerzbank in Frankfurt and HypoVereinsBank in Dusseldorf, before joining DEGIRO in 2016 as Trading Assistant / Business Developer. In April 2018, he joined the Operations & Control Department at FundShare Fund Management. The departments' responsibilities lay in the fields Operational Risk Management and Compliance, monitoring and influencing the companies development within regulatory frameworks and internal guidelines. The team further develops and implements processes and policies that are resulting from the existing legal framework.

Fund Administrator – Fernando Batista

After graduating in Economics at the University of Coimbra (UC), Fernando Batista started his career in 2016 working in the Insurance sector in Portugal. Subsequently he joined DeGiro as a trading assistant and business developer for the Portuguese market. In July 2019, he joined the Investment Funds Administration team at Fundshare. His main responsibilities as Fund Administrator are the daily NAVs creation and reporting, as well as the implementation of new tools to improve/solidify the existing processes. Fernando is extremely curious and strives to learn more every day.

Head of Finance – Lauren McGeever

After completing her MSc in Financial Mathematics and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), Lauren McGeever joined DeGiro in 2016 as a trading assistant and business developer. She switched to FFM as Portfolio Manager in 2017 where she was responsible for the portfolio management of the Cash Funds and other Fixed Income Funds. From there she has grown to Head of Finance, where she is now responsible for the finance department.

Senior Portfolio Manager – Germain Zwering

After finishing his study BEc Financial Services Management in Amsterdam, Germain Zwering started his career at BinckBank. First he worked several years at the (private) B2C side of the company, after which he switched to the (professional) B2B side. At BinckBank Professional Services he was responsible for the securities administration and order execution of over 100 independent asset managers. On March 2019 he started working for Robein, where he was responsible for the daily operations and the portfolio management of the 9 Robein index funds. Due to the integration of the Robein index funds into Fundshare Fund Management, and the rebranding of the name of the funds to InDelta, he has been running the portfolio management of the InDelta funds since October 2020.

Customer Service & Marketing – Andrea Noske

After graduating from BEc Business Economics at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences in 2005, Andrea Noske gained work experience as an assistant controller during a traineeship at various clients, including ING Bank. The focus was on application conversion, analysis of suspense accounts and testing work processes against the Sarbanes Oxley laws and regulations. Andrea decided to continue her career at ING Bank and switch to the position of Account Manager SME, a choice that suited her commercial drive perfectly. After this, Andrea worked as a Non-life Insurance Advisor at the Unirobe Meeus Group and as a Financial Advisor at Robein Leven. There she gained years of experience in not only relationship management, but also in the field of product innovation and marketing. Her mottos “Make your customer an ambassador for the company”, “Learn from dissatisfied customers” and “Make no promises, just keep your commitments” characterize Andrea as a person and advisor. And with these mottos, her activities will continue at FFM as of October 1, 2020, where she focuses entirely on the customer service and marketing of the InDelta index funds.

Financial controller – Daan van Oostenrijk

Daan van Oostenrijk studied business administration with specifications in finance at the Business School Notenboom in Hilversum. During his studies he worked at Melles People; a fast-growing employment agency for catering staff. In his position as financial controller, Daan was responsible at Melles People for setting up the automation of the invoicing / Payroll system. After completing this full automation, he started at Medtester. A corona test company where Daan was responsible for accounting, payrolling, planning and partly HR. Daan will be working full-time in the Finance team as a Financial controller for FundShare.

Operations & Control – Kaiwen Liu

Kaiwen Liu earned his BSc Economics from Zhengzhou University in China. In addition, he took several courses at the University of Lodz in Poland. In the Netherlands, Kaiwen obtained his Master's degree in Finance & Investments from the University of Rotterdam in 2020. Besides his position at FundShare, he is working on a BSc Mathematics at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam. In the position of operations & control specialist, Kaiwen is responsible for, among other things, performing daily monitoring activities, credit risk analyses on potential investments and performing KYC/CDD analyses of clients. In addition, he supports in the development of an anti-wisdom tool and the formalization of policies and procedures in accordance with the relevant regulatory framework at the European and national level.
